Story by Meghan McGee
This fall is all about dewy skin, red lips, dark eyes and imperfect beauty. I hand selected these products to really talk about each point of fall and what ways you can use these products to create a beautiful face that is user friendly. Taking some tips from the runway, you can always make bold makeup softer and more comfortable to wear every day.
Mac Matchmaster Foundation SPF 15: I fell in love with this foundation about a year ago when it debuted in Mac stores. It's a light foundation with medium to full coverage and is a semi-matte finish, meaning that it is a little dewy without setting powder. This is a perfect foundation for fall because it keeps your skin hydrated and blends smoothly into the skin, creating a perfect canvas for the rest of your makeup.
Mac Pressed Pigment in Midnight: Fairly new to the market, these pressed pigments can be worn dry or wet. I prefer them wet because the color pay off is gorgeous and they really mirror those dark jeweled runway eyes everyone's been talking about. This blue color is just dark enough to blend with black to make it a smokey, midnight blue color. Use this pigment with 242 Shader Brush (above) and spray with Fix+ to give it that wet glow on your eyes.
Mac Viva Glam Lipstick Shade I: This is the perfect, dark fall red lip. Use with Cherry lipliner to brighten the lips up a bit and apply Viva Glam I to center of lips and feather out with 242 Shader Brush to give lips a messy but imperfect finish. Add clear gloss on top to match dewy skin.
Mac In Extra Dimension Lash: This mascara grabs every lash, gives volume and lengthens your eyes. This is my favorite Mac mascara hands down. The wand is spaced perfectly and is easy to brighten your eyes when all of your lashes are visible.
